Our time in the US wouldn't be complete without a visit to Amarillo to see our female offspring unit. The timing was good as she was moving to her new apartment and could use some help. I had planned to hire someone to move her stuff from point A to point B, but as usual, we decided it wasn't that much and we could do it ourselves without too much effort. Another round of learning a lesson...again. I'm tired of learning the lesson that I'm not as young and fit as I once was. sigh. But, we got 'er done without too much hassle. And Brenna got some nice, new tats while we were there, courtesy of her boss.

Black widow and false widow

We did a lot of hanging out with Brenna. We caught up on life, met her workmates, shopped, dined, and explored the city. Melissa got to reinforce her distaste of the cattle raising "atmosphere" that can get ripe when the wind shifts the right direction. We also did a day trip to New Mexico's Oasis State Park to "hike" and explore some of the local desert flora and fauna.
